Sandoval est. 1998: Sandoval Reunion 2013

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park was truly a fabulous way to start off the 2013 Sandoval Reunion. There was something for everyone! This is a picture of the the kids enjoying Esaias' favorite ride, "Giddy Up." With no lines for waiting, we could ride everything.

Uncle Ben, Danny, and his Dad all enjoyed their fair share of rides. Joe even tried the "Cliffhanger;" the roller coaster, highest in elevation in North America. All who were tall enough road this crazy ride.

This of course is not the "Cliffhanger Roller Coaster." Esaias was not tall enough for that one, but he road the Wild West Coaster....several times I believe. Even tried the front car with Uncle Ryan.

The climbing wall was a big hit, a great place for racing! Ready, set, go!

From right to left, the skill level is easy, medium, then hard. They start off close.

But to Uncle Ryan's great delight, he beat his nephews in the race to the top! Enjoy it now Ryan! It won't last forever.

The girls anxiously await their shot at the wall too!

Erica made it to the top more than once.

The muscles on this girl are unreal! All 3 girls made it to the top! (Yes, Isaac's in this picture. Yet another race.)

After Ryan convinced Mara & Danny to race him, they happily waited their turn.

As you can see, Ryan kicked Danny and Mara's butts to the top. Notice Danny & Mara looking at each other about half way saying, "What did we say yes to?" Both fell to the ground when they finished. Literally, fell to the ground. I think I heard Danny say something about kissing the ground.

Speaking of being off the ground. If you like thrills, try this Giant Canyon Swing. The swing itself sits right on the edge of the cliff, and you swing out over the mountainside. It's really freaky to watch. It almost made my stomach sick at the thought of my 2 older kids riding this. I figured it would be easier to be on the ride with Marina, than watch her do it. Isaac waited until Marina and I had gone. Both Danny and Uncle Ryan bailed out on this one! Not so tough are they?

Uncle Ben, Jose, Erica, and Mara took a turn. Jose looked a little green when he came off, but refused to admit it or succumb to sickness.

It was an absolute gorgeous day and time of year in Glenwood Springs. The park is at the top of the mountain, and you must ride the gondola up to it. We ate dinner in the mountain restaurant overlooking the valley. It was so green and beautiful!

We also did one of the two cave tours. The kids liked the story about the giant sneezing in the cave.

DAY 2

Can't go to Glenwood Springs, and not spend the day at the hot springs! Everyone had fun here too! Grandma and Papa rented a cabana, perfect for all the babies, and anyone who needed a place to relax and eat! Lunch consisted of a healthy dose of Hot Cheetos, Fritos, White Cheddar Popcorn, Red Vines, Chex Mix, Oreos, Sour Gummie Worms, Corn Nuts, and Pork Rinds! Good thing we stuck to mostly water for drinking! Nothing like snacking with the Sandoval's!

After a long day of swimming, and snacking, nothing's better than a good shower, good dinner at Vic's Route 6, and a game of Sandoval Trivia. Well, okay I am not a gamer, so I could've done without the trivia, but we had fun hanging out. In fact, we had to play 2 rounds of trivia, the 1st one with the babies and little kids (5 of them) in Grandma and Grandpa's suite. And the 2nd round in Uncle Luke's room, with all the babies asleep.

Chris in all her niceness, convinced some poor man named, Adam, to help take pictures by the river after dinner. Ryan and Mara do you always were matching shirt colors? Haven't you been married long enough to break that? Oh you have those 2 adorable twins, I guess will let you get away with it.

Uncle Luke, Jose and Erica...stay up to late laughing. We know our room was next door to theirs. We love you!

Here we are showing off the youngest and the oldest of the Sandoval grandchildren. Yes, Isaac has almost past me in height. I still have him, by an inch. I know, not for long.

The whole clan! We've grown by 5 babies in two years, since our last picture like this was taken at Gabe and Jessica's rehearsal dinner. Isn't that amazing?
