Vycci the kids and I went to Grand Junction this last weekend. We were able to see some friends and family there and it was very nice to be on the western slope again. We are always amazed at how much we love that area and often wish that our journey through life leads us back there again. Marina and Isaac love seeing Grandma and Grandpa Martin and playing there.
Isaac learned how to play Dominoes from Grandpa over the weekend while Marina just sat and enjoyed the time with her great grandparents. We were also able to make it to Eric's (Vycci's brother) house. He and his wife Lindsay have done a nice job on the house they have in making incremental improvements. The kids love their two doberman's and one cocker spaniel. It was nice to visit them.
After the round trip through the mountains we're also reminded that winter in Colorado is really never over until July. The snow and slushy conditions were still mild compared to some of the winter storms we've crossed.
Vycci and Isaac went back to school this week so Spring Break is officially over. 7 weeks until summer vacation. Unbelievable.
Also, Vycci for the second year in a row has won our family college basketball pool. Looks like ice cream tonight!

Well, we were destined to be friends. We've never even lived on the western slope but we have dreams to live there someday. Ridgeway would be perfect, we're just not rich enough! Shall we meet in G.J. for retirement? ;) Glad it was a fun trip.
