A Difficult Week

We are sharing unfortunate news with you today. On Wednesday at a routine Dr.'s appt. for Vycci and the baby, we discovered that the baby's heart had stopped beating. with a heavy heart we had to go the hospital on Friday for a procedure to remove the baby. While this has been extremely difficult for us and our extended family, we have been extremely blessed with lots of love and support from our friends and family. We are very grateful for the two beautiful and healthy children that Heavenly Father has already blessed us with. We know that while we may not always understand the Lord's will that through faith in Him that we have and will be blessed.

On Thursday, we had another sad day as we recieved news that a long time, very dear friend of ours had passed away. He had been in an amazing and devistating car accident 2 weeks ago that left him very badly burned. His survival was miraculous, even for the short time he remained with us. After battling recovery for 10 days he finally peacefully passed on surrounded by many of his 11 children. He was a strong preisthood holder and example for his own family, and many other ward family members and members of the community. He will be truly missed by many beyond count.

It is amazing how in this world bad and very challenging times face us all. But in these hard times we are reminded to be grateful for the blessings we have, to cherish our loved ones, and strengthen our faith. I pray and challenge all of our friends and family this week to do just this, no matter where you are at. Remember that life here can be short, but our purpose is monumental. Do your best! Never give up! We love you all and are very thankful to each of you for touching our lives.
