Easter Weekend

We have acquired this large backyard, but of course it has some projects that come with it. So, with the late spring weather, we are just now getting outside to get started on them. (We shouldn't complain, as Denver, is still getting blizzards.) So, Easter weekend consisted of working and playing. It's amazing how much you can get done in one day, if you have to. So, along with our cute Easter pictures, I am throwing in some before pictures of our yard.
We took out this side retaining wall, and put in our dog run. We used some of the bricks to build up the wall by the patio to make a fire pit. The pit was a pond, but with little ones, not a good idea. As you can see, there is a lot of dirt...we still got a ways to go. And this is only about 1/8 of the total backyard space.
After finishing our outside work, we all showered, and managed to get our egg coloring done, before the Easter Bunny came to visit. Esaias was running around the house saying, "Easter Bunny, 'ere are you?" He also repeatedly asked, "Is the Easter Bunny 't'oming?" He was very excited.

At our house the Easter Bunny only comes to visit, if you have cleaned your room, gone to sleep early, and have a clean bathed or showered body. I tell them all that the bunny comes in while they are sleeping, and sniffs to find the clean sleeping kids, only then will he leave them a treat....good way to make sure they are all clean and ready for Easter Sunday. So, they all showered, the Easter Bunny did bring a treat.

 Here is the brood.

Happy Easter 2013!
