Zoo Lights

Since it snowed before Christmas we had abandoned the idea of going to zoo lights for the year, but when the weather warmed up after Christmas we couldn't resist getting outside. Because we are members we were able to get in and see the animals during the day, and stay till dark and catch the lights. It was a fun day spent together as a family! What are you all looking at?
Oh yes, he is talking to you all!

Danny, a picture by the purple seahorse...really?
Tropical Discovery was a big hit this trip. Danny hadn't been in a while so we spent a lot of time showing him around. Esaias loved the nasty looking snakes that he could run from window to window looking at. He loves Bird World also. We aren't really sure if the love is due to getting out of the stroller and getting to walk around by himself, the element/ambiance of being outside in the wild and/or seeing the animals up close and personal. Nonetheless, he loves Bird World and Tropical Discovery. Thank heavens looking at the fish were his favorite. (I hate snakes!) He spent at least 15 min. sitting in front of one aquarium just watching the same catfish swim by over and over.

It always amazes me how even the big kids who have been to the zoo a zillion times, never seem to tire of it!
